EU AI Act — Limited RiskHuman-led AINo Automated Decisions
How we use AI
Peak Pivot Partners uses AI tools — including large language models, data analysis assistants, and productivity tools — as decision-support instruments. AI helps our team work more effectively across research, drafting, data interpretation, and pattern recognition.
AI does not make decisions on behalf of clients or about individuals. All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed, validated, and approved by a qualified human professional before delivery or use in any client context.
EU AI Act classification
Under the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689), we self-classify our current AI usage as limited risk or minimal risk:
We do not deploy high-risk AI systems as defined in Annex III of the EU AI Act
We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals
We do not use AI for biometric identification, critical infrastructure, or employment screening
Where AI-generated content is delivered to clients, it is clearly identified as AI-assisted
Human oversight process
Every AI-assisted deliverable goes through the following steps before reaching a client:
Drafted or generated with AI assistance
Reviewed for accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness by a named consultant
Amended or rejected where the AI output is inaccurate, misleading, or unsuitable
Delivered under the professional responsibility of the named consultant
Third-party AI tools & data protection
We may use third-party AI tools in client work. Where these tools process personal data, they operate under GDPR-compliant terms and are covered by data processing agreements. We do not input confidential client data into AI tools without explicit prior agreement from the client.
